Hiring process

1: Introduction
  • We meet 1-1 to discuss your specific talent requirements, ideal candidate personas, timelines, budget etc.
  • You provide a detailed job description including key responsibilities and requirements, technical skill set etc.
  • Based on your requirement and scope of work, I share a proposal with details of our collaboration and pricing
  • We finalize and sign the contract to start working together!

2: Distribution
  • I will share the Job Description on my social media channels and other AI specific groups and communities.

3: Screening
  • As per your requirements, I can propose a custom interview loop to assess various technical and behavioral skills
  • After initial screening from your end, I can give my feedback on the shortlist and highlight the top candidates.

4: Interviewing​
  • I can conduct 1-1 interviews with the candidate focused on evaluating AI experience, skills, projects and culture fit
  • I will share a recording of the virtual interview along with the transcript and my feedback for each interview/candidate.

5: Decision
  • I can also join your team in debrief sessions to share my perspective and assist with the final hiring decisions.

6: Pricing
  • I typically charge 15-35% of the successful hire's annual compensation / CTC depending on various factors including the seniority of the candidate, whether the required skill set is rare or not, hiring urgency etc.​

7: Collaboration
  • All communication and collaboration will be based on email ([email protected]) and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets)

Key Responsibilities
  • Productionize Databricks notebooks created by our Scientists
  • Create, manage, and enhance data pipelines that support ML and analytics workflows
  • Support and collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering
  • Improve and maintain our cloud-based data infrastructure on Azure and AWS
  • Help support and enforce best practices for data engineering, curation, and notebook development
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure data products align with our platform principles and scientific goals
  • Build scalable and efficient pipelines that connect raw data and metadata to insights and products
  • Help evolve our use of the Databricks platform, and our broader Azure/AWS cloud environments
  • Translate Python/SQL/R  code from exploration to production-grade
  • Be a hands-on partner to Scientists, supporting their work and helping scale their models
  • Contribute to shaping our engineering culture and infrastructure as we grow

About You
  • You have a solid foundation in data engineering and/or MLOps and are excited to keep learning
  • You have experience with Databricks
  • You have experience in Python, R and SQL transformations and data pipeline creation
  • You're familiar with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • You hold a University degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • You communicate well and enjoy being part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where you can take ownership and iterate quickly
  • You’re comfortable working remotely, with at least 50% timezone overlap with US/GMT​
